JOIN THE CAMPFIRE CIRCLE

Campfire songs are traditionally a mixture of silliness and holiness. They illuminate a camp’s values and traditions even while campers dance wildly around the fire whooping and hollering with wild abandon. Our camp song begins with an invitation: “Come along, join our song!” That spirit of invitation underlies our identity: we are a place where everyone is welcome. Camp Alkulana, our song reminds us, values bravery, adventure, and teamwork. (And yes, a healthy appetite for peanut butter!)

In the spirit of our camp song, I want to invite you to “join our song” in a bold new way this fall. I hope you will join us in the Campfire Circle of donors. Campfire Circle members commit to give recurring gifts on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis. You can set these gifts up easily on our e-giving platform. Recurring gifts simplify and streamline your giving process and allow us to breathe easy, knowing that your gifts are on their way.

We have a special opportunity right now to increase the impact of your first recurring gift. If you make your first recurring gift before December 31, it will be matched up to $50!

Consider this as you make a recurring gift plan:

• $5 a month will transport a child to camp for their camp session
• $10 a month provides a High Adventure camping trip for 10 campers
• $20 a month will feed a cabin of campers in our dining hall
• $50 a month sponsors one camper’s life-changing camp experience
• $100 a month pays to hire one staff member to mentor our campers
