Counselors in Training

Every summer about 75% of our camp counselors are former campers. We believe strongly in growing leaders and teaching them to give back to their communities.

One of the ways we accomplish that leadership training is through our Counselor in Training (CIT) Program. CITs are 15 year old former campers who have been selected by their counselors to return to camp and hone their leadership skills. They attend the younger camper session of their own gender for a week of job skills development, leadership training, hands-on practice, and constructive feedback. Each summer we have about 15 CITs, many of whom continue as Junior Counselors the following year.
