NEW CAMPERS:

Are you interested in registering your child to attend Camp Alkulana this summer? Beginning in January, you can contact us through our Inquiry Form to see if we are the right fit for your family. Our camper registration process will open in February.

RETURNING CAMPERS:

Previous campers who are eligible to return to camp will receive a link to register for camp again in February of each year when camper registration begins. If you do not receive a link, please contact SaraAnne Burgess to access the registration portal. You do not need to fill out a new Inquiry Form.

 

Registration FAQs


Transportation is provided to and from camp on an air-conditioned charter bus. The bus will depart at 9:00 am on the first day of the session and return on the last day of the session between 12:30 and 1:00 pm. Departure and arrival will be at the BGAV Building: 2828 Emerywood Parkway Henrico, VA 23294.


Camp Fees are determined based on family income. A household income which qualifies for USDA free or reduced lunch makes campers eligible for a lower camp fee. Most campers pay between $40-$200. Please contact the camp for specific details about the cost for attending camp.


The camper registration fee for families that meet the free or reduced price lunch income guidelines is $40. Families who do not meet that guideline will pay $200 per camper. We never want cost to become a barrier for children to attend Camp Alkulana, so please reach out if you need further assistance.


Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests are eligible for a refund minus 20% up until May 11, 2025. Cancellation requests made from May 12, 2025, until two weeks prior to the start of the camp session are eligible for a refund minus 50%. No refunds will be given for cancellation requests received within two weeks of the start of the camp session.
